We launched the CoachMark Bursary scheme in January 2013, to help coaches living or working in Hertfordshire to meet the costs of coaching courses.
We normally offer bursaries for coaching award courses and for relevant CPD, i.e. courses or workshops that will help the coach to develop. In addition, some bursary rounds have a particular 'theme' - for instance, in March bursaries will be awarded specifically to support disability sport.
The CoachMark Bursary is only available to coaches who live or work in Hertfordshire.
We will only consider bursary applications from coaches who have registered on the Coaching Herts database. All successful applicants will be required to complete the CoachMark process. You can find out more about CoachMark (and register on the database) here: http://www.coachingherts.org.uk/coachmark/coachmark
Applications can only be made by individuals, on their own behalf.
Please read the terms and conditions that appear at the bottom of this page. For the disability-related round of bursaries, the 'Level 2 or above' restriction does not apply.
The closing date for the next round of applications is 31 March - please do not apply for courses that start before 14 April. We hate to turn people down! The bursary panel will not be looking at applications before 31 March and we cannot fund courses that have already started. Applications that arrive after the closing date will not be considered.
You will need to complete an application form - see the bottom of this page. You will be asked to show how a bursary will help you to increase participation in sport or physical activity.
You will be notified of the result of your application within two weeks of the closing date.
